Hi, my name is David Jamieson, and I would like to introduce myself as your AlphaNet Coordinator.

I live in Glendale, Arizona with my beautiful wife, Martha, and our two fur babies. I am a father to a blended family of four kids, a daughter, a son of my own, and two stepdaughters. I am also the proud grandfather of four and great grandfather of five.

I have spent a lifetime in the service industry, spending more than half of my life in the restaurant industry as a chef, manager, and as a proud member of the U.S. Army. While in the military, I served in the infantry as a gunner and a mortar ballistics computer specialist in Germany, Ft. Benning, GA, and Iraq. If the heat of the kitchen or battlefields of Iraq were not enough, I decided to serve within the United States Postal Service. I served as a letter carrier, and customer service supervisor and helped pilot a program focusing on real-time customer service issues over the past 16 years until Alpha 1 made it too difficult for me to continue in that line of work. Now, I have the privilege of learning, supporting, and helping others with Alpha 1.

My journey with Alpha 1 began in 2012 when my sister was about to undergo a double lung transplant. She encouraged me to get tested as her diagnosis was the reason for her upcoming surgery. I promptly honored her wishes, and shortly thereafter discovered that I too, was an Alpha.

Since my diagnosis I try to stay as active as possible, walking regularly and doing resistance training. In my downtime, I enjoy cooking, entertaining, dancing, listening to music, and on occasion, dining out. I am also an avid sports fan who loves boxing, mixed martial arts, my beloved Chicago Cubs and “Da Bears”. I also love basketball and can regularly be found cheering on my Phoenix Suns.

Although living with Alpha 1 can be a challenge, I have found through the many resources and educational materials AlphaNet provides, it has helped me navigate through my diagnosis and to get the most out of my life. Staying active and staying informed has been a good recipe for success for me, and I am confident it will be for you as well.
I look forward to serving all of you in the future.
